This guide explains what participants may see when ABCL is enabled in a room. ABCL interactions are optional: being in the room, wearing a particular appearance, or sending a chat message never opts you in. Consent starts off.
ABCL only interacts with participants who have opted in and are inside the room’s configured ABCL region while the designated helper is also present in that region. Room operators choose the region boundaries; ask them where the active area is. If the helper is absent or outside the region, interactions and helper replies may not happen; another bot will not take over.
The feature is intended for the operator-designated adults-only room. Its checks use your explicit ABCL consent and current room observations; they do not infer consent from chat or appearance.
Use the command form supported in the room:
| Purpose | Command | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Opt in | !abcl opt-in or /bot abcl opt-in; !abcl unblacklist and /bot abcl unblacklist are aliases |
Saves your opt-in for this room and requests an ABCL state sync. Interactions begin only when you and the helper are in the active region. |
| Opt out | !abcl opt-out or /bot abcl opt-out; !abcl blacklist and /bot abcl blacklist are aliases |
Revokes consent, cancels queued interactions, and clears your pending ABCL decision. |
| Check consent | !abcl status or /bot abcl status |
Requests a private helper whisper with your saved consent state, when the helper and you are in the active region. |
Replies come privately from the helper, not as public room messages. If the helper or you are outside the region, the helper is unavailable, or no consent record exists yet, a reply may not arrive. Your saved choice is per room and participant and remains in effect when you leave and rejoin until you opt out.
After you opt in, the helper requests the ABCL mod’s state and checks it on an approximately 30-second cycle. A check does not guarantee an interaction: the mod’s current state, room position, helper availability, and Bondage Club item interaction permission all affect whether a task can proceed.
Possible in-room interactions include:
Public interactions are sent by the helper. ABCL consent/status replies are private whispers. No interaction is guaranteed on every state check or chat message.
You can opt out at any time with !abcl opt-out or /bot abcl opt-out.
Opting out cancels queued work and fences a running sequence before its next
action. If the helper has already added the temporary changing-table item, it
may remove that same item when the room state still allows safe cleanup.
An interaction can also stop if you or the helper leave the active region, the room connection changes, or the feature’s current configuration is no longer valid. Leaving the room cancels queued work and clears temporary decision state, but does not erase your saved opt-in. Uncertain actions are not blindly replayed.
Check that you have opted in, that both you and the helper are inside the
configured region, and that Bondage Club permits the helper’s item
interactions. State checks and queued helper actions can take time; allow a
sync cycle before expecting a response. You can use !abcl status or
/bot abcl status to request a private consent reply when the helper is
available in the region.
The ABCL feature does not retain raw trigger chat or raw mod statistics. It persists your room-scoped consent and short-lived, minimized decision categories needed to schedule an interaction.
Room administrators can request a normal state check or a change-specific
test for an opted-in participant. These do not replace opt-in or the ordinary
region, mod-state and item-permission checks. The change test treats the mod’s
Ask setting as eligible and sends the change command with force: true;
agree on the test with the administrator beforehand.
